Patient Experience

Hamilton Health Sciences recognizes the value of patient and family feedback, as it provides us with the opportunity to improve the care that we are providing. Feedback can come in the form of a compliment, inquiry or concern about the services we provide.

In accordance to the Excellent Care for All Act (2010) we would like to ensure ease of access for the public to share feedback.

If you would like to provide your feedback, either a compliment or a concern, we suggest that your first route is to speak directly to you health care provider team as they know you best. You may either speak with your direct care provider, the Charge Nurse, Physician or the Clinical Manager. You may also choose to contact the Patient Experience department directly, by either telephone or e-mail.

Recognizing that issues may arise regarding your care or the care of your family member, we encourage you to talk with members of your health care team directly. Moist clinical areas have a clinical leader, charge nurse, and clinical manager who can assist you if needed. Please go to the nursing station or reception area to find out who you can speak with.

Additionally, the Patient Experience office is available to assist you. We will ensure your concern is directed to the appropriate person(s) and will work with you and the team to address your concerns.

Please be aware that email messages are not a secure method of communication and therefore the Hospital cannot guarantee the security of e- mail messages sent to, or received from our office. For this reason email should not be used to communicate personal health information.
Personal health information includes any information that can identify an individual. Some examples are: a person's name, information about their health or medical condition, the type of care or treatment they have received and or names of their care providers.

The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) does not support the practice of communicating personal health information via email.

Please note that all email correspondence will be retained by Hamilton Health Sciences and becomes property of Hamilton Health Sciences.
